What we collect

When you create an Everwise account, we collect your name, email address, SAT goal, test date and study availability. We store diagnostic answers, estimated scores, reports and tutoring activity to provide the learning service. We also collect usage events to understand where the product is working or failing.

If you create a parent account, we also collect the email address of the student you intend to invite. We use it to label a private diagnostic invitation and connect the accounts only after the student uses that link and either continues while signed in or claims the diagnostic with a matching verified student email. We provide a private link the parent may share and may send the invitation to the student by email. A linked parent can read diagnostic reports, submitted answers and tutoring progress. Either account can remove the connection in Account.

How we use it

We use your information to provide the tutoring service, generate reports and study plans, provide tutoring, and send the notifications you enable. Weekly parent updates summarize recorded activity; they do not guarantee a score gain. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Your choices and account deletion

You can edit your profile, SAT goal, test date, availability and email preferences in Account. Notification emails include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not cancel your paid plan; Stripe manages payment receipts separately. You can also remove a parent connection.

Use Delete account in Account to request permanent deletion. Access is disabled immediately. We cancel active subscriptions and delete your profile, diagnostic answers and reports, study plans and tutoring records. We also ask Clerk, our sign-in provider, to delete your sign-in account and Stripe, our payment provider, to delete your customer profile. Parent deletion removes the parent account and its links while leaving student accounts intact. Deletion may take longer if a service provider is unavailable. Your account remains inaccessible while deletion is completed.

Retention and service providers

Learning records remain while your account exists so you can return to reports and continue your plan. Deletion removes active application records. Payment providers may retain transaction records, and we retain provider cost and operational audit metadata without the erased learner request or response content. Deletion does not instantly erase copies held in infrastructure backups; contact us for retention questions.

Clerk provides sign-in, Stripe processes payments, our email provider delivers notifications, and configured model providers process the content needed to generate reports and tutoring. We do not send payment card details to model providers.

Data storage

Your data is stored on secure servers. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
